Inca ruins on Isla del Sol, Lake Titicaca, Bolivia
Isla del Sol - Bolivia Street Photography
Isla del Sol, or Island of the Sun, is an island in the middle of Lake Titikaka, which they say is the highest fresh water lake in the world. It is a fascinating Island inhabited by indigenous Indian people and still features many Inka structures and water systems still in use today. There are no vehicles on the island (not even bikes), and all transportation is via donkeys or llamas, making for some interesting photo ops.
